A gorgeous survivor of kidnapping and poor diet. Rocky was kept in a crate in a junk yard all his young life.
Trixi was humanely euthanized May 24, 2008 after not feeling well for a day. It was clear that this old foxes days were up, and at 16 years of age she had lived a good, useful and fun life. What a good fox Trixi was! She used to help raise all of the wild orphans. We will miss her. God Bless you Trixi!
Sniglet is a lovely little Silver fox that we often call "Piglet" at feeding time. She was born in April 2005. She was an exotic pet fox that was no longer wanted by her owner. Sniglet will have to stay here as a permanent resident. She will help educate people about exotic pet foxes, and hopefully become a foster mother for wild pups
"Pizza Box Fox" Affectionately named because of his amazing story of survival. Scooped off the road with a shovel by a Policeman, this fox was placed in a pizza box and left outside the police station while I traveled over an hour to get him. Naturally, a pizza box that is wide open won't contain a healthy animal so little hope was held for his survival. However, with some special care and the will to survive, this fox was ready for release just five weeks after his accident
This Gray fox was shot in the face and struggled to live for weeks by eating bird seed from the ground beneath a feeder. He weighed 2 lbs. Because of the suffering and severity of his injuries, he was humanely euthanized. Sadly, we commonly see horrible things that have happened to our New York State wildlife.
