Caspyr

Caspyr

Also known as "The Pone" short for The Pony, because of the way he bucks and leaps when he is happy. He is the dog that took me 6 months to capture. We still have no idea where he came from, but he was hit by a car that broke his left hip shortly after he was noticed roaming the streets in Springville, NY. this dog was so elusive that they started calling him "The Ghost". After much effort and a few well placed darts, this young Great Pyrenees dog was captured . He has a permanent home now here. A generous donor made it possible for CasPyr to receive the best care possible for his broken hip and because of that surgery he is now 100% and one would never know that he had ever been injured at all!

Samson

Samson

samson was a Katrina dog that had to be given up by his woners when they lost their goat farm because of the flooding. He tested positive for heartworm and was refused by the New York SPCA, saying they would only euthanise him and the other 7 dogs that came in on the transport. That wasn't good enough for the Chemung County SPCA, a small humane society that not only accepted all the dogs on that transport, but made sure that every dog was well taken care of. I picked Samson up from there and he was eventually placed in a loving home near Oneonta, NY where he received the very expensive heartworm treatment. Today Samson is a very healthy and happy house dog.
